We will discuss the importance of balance, value, expression, and overall composition while using various paints, papers, ink, and other materials. We will play with different "tried and true" techniques and discover some new ones as we go.

Wire Wrapped Jewelry with Lynette Fast

Lynette will guide you through developing skills with tools and how to create your own original and unique wire jewelry. You will make and take home products like earrings, rings, pendants, and bracelets. Learn basic wire preparation, bending, hammering, coiling and how to make findings like ear wires, jump rings, clasps, bails, or wrapped stones. Common tools, wire, beads, and equipment will be provided for your use in class. Because equipment is limited, if you have any of the following tools and supplies, please bring them to class for your use: small hammer, jewelry pliers, wire cutter, round nose plier, bench vise, small anvil, beads, crystals, stones, shells, 26-16 gauge copper, brass, nickel, or silver wire.

Gelliplate Printing with Ginger Wilson

Have you heard of gelliprinting and want to give it a whirl? Join me for a whirlwind of printmaking to learn the basics and make a varied assortment of printed papers. The prints can be used in many ways: for collage, bookmaking, cards, or even finished artwork.

The paints and gelliplates come out and the art rules go out the window as we create colorful patterned papers. I hope you leave with a mind full of ideas and hands full of paper. It is truly a fun and easy process suitable for anyone.
