"When I'm painting I am relying on instinct to guide me.  I've learned that intention is valuable, yet when I follow my intuition, I find the process and the results to be much more satisfying.  I work mostly with acrylics and soft pastels and occasionally add decoupaged materials.  My work also reveals multiple layers beneath the top surfaces, which gives an interesting dimensional effect.  My completed pieces typically reflect my love of texture, the simplicity of subdued neutrals as well as deep warm colors. I paint for the sake of the creative process, trusting in it and hoping that my finished work reflects the joy that I find in that process."
